Calming Your Nervous System Naturally

Learning Objective

Statistically, mood and anxiety disorders have spiked globally since 2020. And those lucky enough to avoid a clinical diagnosis are reporting more difficulty sleeping, higher rates of substance use, and burnout.But humans are extremely resilient. We are capable of engaging in natural self care techniques that can help reduce our stress levels. 
 
In this workshop, participants will explore the effect of anxiety on the nervous system, along with four reduction strategies. These include:
  • Breathing techniques.
  • ​Guided imagery.
  • Progressive muscle relaxation.​
  • Diet & exercise.
