Psychological Health & Safety Certificate for Adult Educators

Overview

30 hours (5 days x 6 hours each), includes Instructor’s PH&S Workbooks and a Psychological Health & Wellness Toolkit

Learning Objective

This five-day workshop equips instructors of adult learners to practice psychologically safe leadership and instruction. Participants will learn how to advocate for psychological health and safety, enhance their emotional intelligence, recognize bias and negative power dynamics, and model civil and respectful behaviours. Participants will come away with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to create positive classroom conditions and better support learners facing challenges.

This workshop series targets an instructor’s ability to:

• advocate for psychological health and safety;
• to model good behaviour;
• to create positive conditions; and
• to support students facing challenges.

• How to Make a Behavioural Change

Day 3 – Enhance Your Emotional Intelligence (Part 2) & Psychologically Safe Instruction (Part 1)

• How to Assess Your Emotional Intelligence
• What is Psychologically Safe Leadership?
• How to Be a Psychologically Safe Instructor

Day 4 – Psychologically Safe Instruction (Part 2)
