Tracey is a certified Psychological Health and Safety Advisorand has over 20 years of experience in health care, disability management and wellbeing at work. She has worked as a manager and director in both the public and private sectors, in small to large size organizations. Tracey has an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and a postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy
Tracey is certified to provide Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention Training (QPR) and is a certified advisor of the National Standard on Psychological Health & Safety in the Workplace. She has also completed training on Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
She has supported employees with health issues and assisted them in returning to and staying at work in her past positions with the University of British Columbia, WorkSafeBC and the BC Teachers Federation. She has provided strategic and operational leadership to wellbeing at UBC and the Okanagan College. She has developed training for employees on the prevention of bullying & harassment and building a positive workplace culture. She has trained and supported managers and leaders on dealing with mental health issues, duty to inquire and accommodation in the workplace. She has also created two Community of Practice Groups, one for Canadian Universities and Colleges and the other a local Employer’s with a focus on Psychological Safety and Health in the Workplace. Tracey’s work with respect to mental health in the workplace has led to one local and two national awards.
Tracey provides PH&S Leadership Coaching and workplace consultative services via videoconference and in Kelowna, BC.
