Stephanie holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trinity Western University. She sees families, couples and individuals providing assistance for a variety of clinical issues including affair repair, relationship difficulties, parenting conflicts, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and chronic health matters. In addition, Stephanie specializes in trauma and childhood sexual abuse.
Stephanie follows evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy and Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBCT/MBSR), in addition to experiential modalities such as Satir Therapy and attachment based theories. This provides a holistic and biopsychosocial approach to both individual and systemic issues which clients present with.
Stephanie is an avid learner and has pursued a variety of post university educational opportunities, including: Levels I- III Gottman Couple Therapy Training, Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy - Level I & II, and Neufeld Child Development training Intensive Level 1.
When Stephanie is not working in her practice, she is working in a local homeless shelter and advocating for poverty reduction.
Stephanie works closely with Dr. Samra in the development of treatment plans and offers individual, couple and family therapy services at her office located at 7494 150A Street in Surrey, BC. Telehealth (remote video conferencing) is available for individuals as an option.
