Kelly Mooker, MCP RCC
Workplace Consultant & Clinical Counsellor
Office Location: Surrey & New West
Kelly is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and holds her Masters in Counselling from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia.
She has been passionate about Psychology her whole life. Why people do what they do fascinates her. Through her educational and professional journey she has learnt so much about human behaviour, so much about psychological reasoning, and so much about existence.
Kelly’s theoretical orientation is Mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She teaches clients skills to change irrational thoughts to rational thoughts while paying attention to how this makes them feel and behave differently. Her main priority is to provide a safe space for her clients to speak freely without being judged. She understands how body pain and injuries can cause mental stress and fatigue, therefore empathizes with client’s concerns, fears, anxieties and sadness. It is Kelly’s passion in life is to make a small positive difference in all the lives she touches hoping for a ripple effect of love and compassion to be spread throughout the world. Kelly wishes to empower all the souls she meets into believing that they have control over some aspects of their psyche and this control is the key to changes in their lives. The real change happens with the client's hard work; she simply holds the space for them.
