Dylan Davidson, BAA
Dylan Davidson is a Master’s student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Manitoba. He completed his B.A.A. (Hons.) in Psychology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2016, receiving the Canadian Psychological Association’s Certificate of Academic Excellence. Dylan is broadly interested in conducting research that furthers our understanding of cognitive and emotional processes in mental illness, and using these advancements in knowledge to evaluate and innovate on psychotherapy approaches. Furthermore, he is interested in researching the best practices for inducing social-environmental changes for those with mental health issues by way of increased public education and reduced stigma. In his graduate program, Dylan will be conducting systematic research efforts to improve public mental health literacy, and eventually, will begin receiving training to become a registered clinical psychologist. His graduate research is supported by the Canada Graduate Scholarship (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council), and the University of Manitoba.
Dylan has worked with Dr. Joti Samra, R.Psych. & Associates since 2016 across a range of national projects in the area of psychological health and safety in the workplace, including working as the lead research associate on The Evolution of Workplace Mental Health in Canada: Research Report (2007-2017)and the Psychologically Safe Leader Assessment. He has also provided support across a range of other clinical and research projects and activities.
